Our small community wishes all the best to our dear friend ZRT and is looking forward to have him back with us, fragging and chatting.

Who are we?

We are a community of friendly people sharing a common hobby: Sauerbraten. We are a group of friends, most of us elder players relative to average Sauerbraten player age. We like playing first person shooters (some of us play some other FPS games, but some only Sauerbraten). We like to chat and have fun while shooting at each other.

Although we're very different people (different nations, different locations, different jobs, different skills) we have one goal that ties us together here: having fun while playing Sauerbraten. We believe this is more than just a game and new friendships can emmerge from playing this game.

We're not just Sauerbraten mates, we're also sharing real life stuff and we know each other beyond the ingame nick or player model we like to use. We believe this can be called friendship.

Jaunty's Veterans

This whole JAUNTY'S thing started while I was fooling around with hopmod, xsbs, remod and other sauerbraten server mods on my desktop PC, back in 2010. Little by little, some players started to like hanging around despite the major lag server had at that time (since it was running on a ordinary home ADSL connection) so I decided to move further and build a website to serve information and statistics and give these friendly people a chance to get in touch outside the game chat. Meanwhile JAUNTY'S moved to a dedicated server and a fast connection but that didn't seem to bother the nubs who already got used to the major lag. Of course, at the beginning they found it hard to believe that there's no lag and refused to play for a few days but, after all, they all accepted the new conditions and started hanging around again.

The name might sound weird - but at that moment all I could think about was a pub or bar like name. I wonder why...???
I swear there's no megalomania involved, I just thought about a pub or bar I would own so I just added the ' s to my in-game nickname.
